Our friends at El Dorado Cocktail Lounge will be unveiling their fall/winter cocktail menu tonight at $5 a piece. That’s right, five bucks! Whoa! I walked into theHive this morning and thought for a second that i was in the wrong place! TheHive has been totally transformed into a gallery space for tonight’s local art & music event hosted by The Collaboratory! Artists & musicians from all over San Diego have spent the last few days collaborating to convert TheHive to accommodate for live music & 200+ works of art. The event starts at eight PM, we’ll see you there!
All of us here at TheHIVE are super excited because fellow coworker, Dave Brown of Holiday Matinee, just released his new book today! Better yet, we’re featured in it! This project has truly been a testament to the collaboration that takes place everyday at theHIVE. We’ve had the pleasure to watch Holiday Matinee and a few of the other talented Hive-ees work to produce an amazing “guide to being creative and making awesome.” Congratulations Dave! We’re at it again. Our next Friday morning brew will take place this week. If you missed out last week, you can join us from 8:00-10:00 to mingle and get out of this chilly weather we’ve been getting.So instead of your usual routine of dashing to get a five-dollar cup of coffee, take a stroll down to our neck of the woods to sip and socialize over some Cafe Virtuoso brews. Hello coffee! Starting November 6th TheHIVE will be hosting Friday Morning Brew serving complimentary coffee from Café Virtuoso between 7:30 and 9:30AM. It will be good chance to get to know some of our East Village neighbors before finishing out that last workday of the week. Come hang out with us this Friday for your morning dose of caffeine and a little bit of analogue social networking.
