944 Magazine just chopped it up with the one and only Chris Cantore to get the latest on his ambitions. He notes the transition from his 15-year stint as 91X DJ to heading projects with his new agency, Cantore Creative. He’s not the only one pumped about his current projects: Legit Radio (which by the way will soon have an iPhone app),SounDiego, interactive media and some impressive clients. We also really dig that he named dropped theHIVE and fellow creative Holiday Matinee who shares some air time.
This just in: #influenceSD has launched the first social media awards exclusively for San Diego, how cool is that?! We’re so stoked to have so many Hivers like Chris Cantore, Gary Clapp, and Melani Gordon working together with Matt Browne on this to bring life to San Diego’s first new media awards. So do you think you have what it takes to be deemed “Blogger of the Year” ? If you do, or know some one who should be nominated, or hell, you just want to vote for the candidates, check out influencesd.com right now and spread the word!
So today Dave Brown of Holiday Matinee dropped in with his new toys courtesy of Ford Motor Co….a new Macbook Pro with CS4, a new camera and oh did we mention a brand spankin new unreleased 2011 Ford Fiesta? It wasn’t until he was halfway out the door for a spin with Taylor Doms of TheMixster.com that we learned that he’s been chosen for the Ford Fiesta Movement-aka 4 months to promote the life out of the car and have some fun in the meantime competing against other teams around the country. Follow Team San Diego and we’ll keep you posted on the festivities.
Today we got a shout out from Dwell via Holiday Matinee’s feature on the blog. Dave Brown, the brains of the operation featured theHIVE in his book highlighting innnovation. We’re stoked. Thanks Holiday Matinee.
On Thursday, Oct. 29, draught masters from 32 countries will descend upon New York City to compete for the 2009 Stella Artois World Draught Master title. The Hive’s Tap Hunter was invited by Stella Artois as new media to cover this prestigious event. Social media made so much sense as a centerpiece for the event—because experiences, whether in a blog or a real-world brand environment, make people talk and word of mouth recommendations yield extraordinary impact. Stella fans didn’t have to take the marketers word for it, they interacted one-to-one with the event. See the Stella Artois World Draught Master title through the eyes of Tap Hunter and our coverage via Twitter, Facebook, Ustream and blogging.
