Collaboration is key, and theHIVE is the perfect place for creative minds to join together under one roof. It’s the modern think tank for artists and resembles the historic Factory of Andy Warhol in the 60s. Nowadays, the digital world allows for a kind of collective space for artists to merge together. If you work from a laptop, at home, or in a private space, it may be of interest to check out theHIVE. Here you can work in space(the internet) besides other like-minded humans, with real flesh and real emotions! After all, they say working in a community space spurs collective consciousness, which leads to collaboration. Plus, it’s nice to not feel like an alien all of the time.

As the situation in the Gulf Coast lingers on, it’s awesome to see that there’s initiative to make change. Our musical masters BandsInTown.com are doing their part to help out. They’re linking up with Gulf Coast Benefit concerts and promoting shows today that help the fisherman and wildlife affected by the spill. We want to say thanks and give kudos to those getting together to support those in need. Great way to kick off 4th of July weekend-everyone be safe and have fun!

You may have noticed several of the honeys around theHIVE sporting the same chic jewelry-it’s LouLou Bijoux, the workings of Leslie Du Roure. Leslie aka LouLou, the face of HIVE241, began the venture last year, distributing pieces straight from Marseilles in the South of France. She’s held her own at both the Thread Show here in East Village as well as Projekt 619 at Voyeur and we’re stoked because now the collections are available on the new LouLou Bijoux site. We’re big fans of the thread bracelets-go check them out! Congrats on the milestone LouLou!

She’s got a unique artistic style, long list of recognition and some very impressive clients, and now she’s doing it all from inside theHIVE.The name: Susie Ghahremani; the work Boy Girl Party. We’re stoked to have her as one of our own. Now we can see the latest and greatest of her creations. We’ve had a few artists grace our walls: @JocelynDuke, @Sezio & MikeMaxwellArt.
