QualityFirst Commercial and theHIVE team up with ULI to put on the last ULI Young Leaders event at theHIVE.  The presentation and discussion regarding Social Media and the various ways business can utilize it to create positive results within respective industries. Mel Gordon, will give a brief presentation followed by Steve Cox, a business owner who has successfully leveraged technology to build his company.  We are looking forward to the open forum after the presentation which will give attendees a great opportunity to interact and get direct feedback.

Product Etcetera Sunday Funday

Your urban office, your lifestyle buzz

Hivers, the buzz is about to go up a notch in the East Village.  It’s a four day weekend of music by Sezio. In March of last year, Sezio hosted “Live@Luce Loft” in San Diego’s East Village. This marked  a buzz for San Diego’s current Music scene. It was a five-night series which paired ten emerging local acts in an intimate living room setting. This year, prepare  your ears fellow hivers! They are taking it up a notch. Sezio is thrilled to announce that the “Four day weekend” will be double the size of the living room and showcasing some of our favorite California-based bands, headlined by The Dodos, Avi Buffalo, Dominant Legs, and The Tree Ring. The four-night series will go down Thursday, November 4th through Sunday, November 7th at Sushi Art (also in SD’s East Village).  Be sure to swarm over there if you can.

Rebuild Happy Hour!

Ignite 2 at theHIVE

Ablaze, with stimuli Hivers will unite to Ignite (round 2), re-light and keep this body of bees buzzing and burning.  NewGrass, one of the sponsors of Ignite, is merging nature with city, mind with body. 16 mind-dazzling talks are scheduled, with an infinite range in subject. Seriously. We’re talking, arts, waffles (yumm), programming, chairs, nudity, consciousness, the apocalypse (yes, it is coming) and even some improv/karaoke! So, grab your weapon of choice — a picnic blanket, pillows, a lawn chair, sunglasses, sunscreen, maybe we will even see some @fatboys lounging about — and come hang in the sun, August 3rd, 7:30 m, at Hive241, on 14th street.

Jeans 4 Justice in Motion

Tomorrow, here at theHIVE, Jeans 4 Justice will collaborate, brainstorm and educate for their upcoming Season of Justice in Motion. Justice in Motion offers a program to prepare your body, mind, and soul for a half-marathon. All proceeds benefit sexual assault prevention and education.
